The First Walk

Arrival is part of the observation.

Before entering the property, there is already something to notice: how it meets the street, how the entrance is used, where shade falls, what can be seen from outside, and what remains protected from view.

The first walk begins without a complete understanding of what matters. That is its defining condition.

A property should be encountered as a whole before it is divided into concerns.

This does not require ceremony. It requires pace.
